Week 3 of 6
3.2 Reading a hook in the first second
Chapters
Here are three videos posted last month by creators in this cohort. Same niche, same topic, very different first second.
Pause on the first frame of Kevin's cooking clip. The pan is already sizzling and the caption says "this costs Rs 60". That is a claim hook: it promises a number before you decide to scroll.
Now Priya's routine. She opens on her face, mid-sentence. That is a cut hook, and it only works because the sentence is unfinished.
The third one starts with a logo card for two seconds. Nobody waits two seconds. We will rewrite that opening together at 07:40.
Write down which shape each video used. You will need the vocabulary for the ten hooks you submit this week.
